What are we looking for?

As a Content & Community Specialist, you’ll play a key role in building, growing, and engaging our global user community for the Oxford Dictionary app. You’ll connect with users across forums, social media, and online groups, creating a positive, inclusive, and engaging environment that reflects our brand values. You’ll also use AI tools to create meaningful and creative content - videos, images, and posts - that resonate with our users and drive engagement. This role is perfect for someone who’s passionate about digital communities, storytelling, and creative communication in English.
Responsibilities:

Develop and implement community strategies to grow, support, and engage Oxford Dictionary’s user communities
Create engaging content with the help of AI tools - videos, images, and articles
Produce AI-assisted videos such as tutorials, product walkthroughs, promotional clips, and social media content (TikTok, Meta, Reddit, YouTube, and more)
Manage and moderate online communities, including forums, social media groups, and our company blog
Engage with users by responding to questions, starting discussions, and fostering a positive tone across all platforms
Collaborate with the marketing, product, and support teams to ensure a seamless and consistent user experience
Monitor and analyze engagement metrics to improve community strategies and measure impact
Stay up to date with the latest community management trends, tools, and best practices
Address user feedback and escalate issues to the appropriate teams when needed
Requirements:

Fluency in English
2+ years of experience in community management, social media, or digital engagement
Proven experience managing online communities or forums (e.g., Reddit, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, or custom platforms)
Experience creating digital content using AI tools (video, image, or written formats)
Knowledge of video creation and editing tools and social media best practices
Ability to handle sensitive situations, mediate discussions, and maintain a positive environment
Creativity, adaptability, and a user-first mindset
