Create, complete and sign fillable PDF forms
Any document can become a fillable PDF in MobiPDF – simply add text fields, checkboxes, radio buttons, lists, dropdowns, buttons and signature fields. You can also fill out ready forms, sign them, and flatten the document to prevent further changes.

Make every document a fillable PDF
Open the Forms tab in MobiPDF to create a fillable PDF from any document. A scan, an exported document or a blank page becomes a fillable PDF with Add Text, Text Box, Check Box, Radio Button, List, Dropdown, Button and Signature Field. Drag each field into place — the user guide covers each field type in more depth. Creating and editing form fields requires a paid plan.

Fill out PDF forms
Complete a PDF form with interactive fields by clicking each one and typing, selecting or ticking your answer. If the PDF has no fields, open the Fill and Sign tab and use Text Annotation, Date, or the check mark and cross mark to add the information by hand. Filling out and saving a form is included in the free version.

Edit form fields
To modify form fields without affecting nearby text or images, choose Forms from the Edit dropdown on the Home or Edit tab. This limits selection to form fields, so you can move, resize, cut, copy or paste them wherever the form needs them.

Sign the form and lock it
For a completed form, use Quick Sign for a drawn, typed or uploaded signature, or apply a certificate-backed signature with Digitally Sign, the same two methods covered in signing PDFs. When the form is ready to send, choose Flatten on the Protect tab to merge the fields into the page and stop further changes.

Why create PDF forms with MobiPDF?

MobiPDF gives you eight field tools for building a PDF form around the information you need to collect. The document stays a regular PDF that's easy to open and share. Create the fields, fill out the form and add a signature in the same app, then flatten it when it's ready to send.

Yes. Open the document and add the fields you need on the Forms tab — MobiPDF does not detect existing form fields automatically, so you place each one yourself by dragging it onto the page. This works on a scan, an exported document or any flat PDF you receive.
MobiPDF gives you eight field types on the Forms tab: Add Text, Text Box, Check Box, Radio Button, List, Dropdown, Button and Signature Field. Each one is placed by dragging its outline onto the page, so you can lay out a form with exactly the fields it needs.
Switch to the Fill and Sign tab. You'll find Text Annotation and Date tools, plus check mark and cross mark stamps, so you can complete the form by hand even without interactive fields. This works on any flat PDF form you're sent.
Use Flatten on the Protect tab. Flatten merges the fields and any comments into the page so nothing on the form can be changed afterwards and saves the result as a new file.
Yes. Signature Field is one of the eight tools on the Forms tab — drag it onto the page like any other field. Once the form is filled in, the signer can add their signature there using Quick Sign or Digitally Sign on the Fill and Sign tab.
No. MobiPDF creates fillable PDF forms on its own, without Adobe Acrobat or any other software. Open a document, add the field types you need from the Forms tab, and save — the result is a standard PDF form anyone can open and fill out.
No. Creating and editing PDF form fields requires a paid plan — this isn't available in the free version of MobiPDF. Filling out a form that already has interactive fields, and saving your changes, stays free no matter which plan you're on. Check the pricing page for plan details.
