Convert DWG and AutoCAD drawings to PDF
Turn DWG, DWGX, DWF or DWFX drawings into easy-to-share PDFs. With MobiPDF for Windows, select Create PDF, then From File, and choose your drawing. The converted file opens in the editor, ready to share with anyone who does not have AutoCAD. Microsoft Publisher files convert the same way.

Convert DWG and DWF files to PDF
MobiPDF converts DWG, DWGX, DWF and DWFX drawings to PDF with just a few clicks. Open MobiPDF, select Create PDF, then From File, and choose the drawing you want to convert. The conversion starts on its own, and the result opens as a new PDF ready to work with. If a document is already open, the Create PDF button on the Home or Convert tab does the same thing. These four AutoCAD formats sit alongside the other formats MobiPDF converts to PDF.

View drawings without AutoCAD
Once a drawing is a PDF, anyone can open it — no AutoCAD required. The file opens on a phone, tablet or computer, so a client or colleague can view it without installing anything extra. From there, zoom in on details, add comments and markup on the Comment tab, print the drawing, or send it on to the next person who needs it.

Convert Microsoft Publisher files to PDF
MobiPDF also converts Microsoft Publisher files to PDF, using the same Create PDF, then From File route. Pick a .pub file and it opens as a PDF, ready to share with anyone — Publisher is not needed to view it. XPS and OXPS files convert the same way, so flyers, newsletters and other Publisher documents move into PDF without extra steps.

Keep working on the converted file
A converted drawing is an ordinary PDF, so the same tools apply. Combine several drawings into one file before sending a full set to a client or compress it to keep the file size down. Add a password before sending it to someone outside your team.

Why convert CAD and Publisher files with MobiPDF?

MobiPDF handles the conversion and everything that comes after it in one app. A DWG, DWF or Publisher file becomes a PDF you can view, mark up, combine, protect and share, without switching to a different program for each step. That means one tool for turning a drawing into something anyone can open, and the same tool for whatever needs to happen to the PDF next.

Yes. Convert the DWG file to PDF in MobiPDF and it opens on any phone, tablet or computer, without AutoCAD installed. The PDF keeps the drawing viewable, so you can share it with someone who does not have AutoCAD and still let them see the design.
Yes. MobiPDF converts .pub files to PDF without Microsoft Publisher installed, using the same Create PDF, then From File route as other formats. Publisher itself is only needed to edit the original file, not to convert it.

The converted PDF in our example retains the drawing's colors, line weights and title block. However, this does not mean that the original CAD layers remain editable in the PDF. Keep the source DWG file if you need to make further changes to the drawing itself.
No. DWG, DWF and Publisher conversion is a MobiPDF Pro feature, the same as converting Office files to PDF. Upgrade to Pro to convert these files or use the free version for MobiPDF's other conversions.
