Who are we looking for?
The Localization Project Manager is a key role within MobiSystems that supports all translation needs and activities within the company. We release new versions of our products on a monthly cadence in as much as 52 languages. In addition to the products themselves, there is a wide variety of other texts that need to be translated on a regular basis - product page descriptions, help text articles, reseller agreements, promotions and advertisements, etc.
You will work together with the Senior Localization Project Manager to deliver these localization projects against the agreed-upon requirements and timelines.
What will you do and learn as needed?
Work closely with the Senior Localization Project Manager by following the localization workflows and strategies at the company and reporting on the status of the localization projects
Manage localization projects across multiple products (MobiOffice, MobiPDF, etc.) platforms (Windows, iOS, Android, Web) and teams (Product, Engineering, QA, Sales, Marketing)
Receive localization tasks on Jira in different technical formats (xml, csv, strings) from the MobiSystems teams
Work with the localization software Lokalise to create and manage all localization projects
Determine how to translate each project - with MT, with AI or with human translation depending on the requirements
Communicate with language service providers such as Acclaro and their linguistic team to ensure the smooth progress of the localization projects and troubleshoot any issues that may come up
Use a number of internal tools to upload the localizations to the respective MobiSystems systems
Maintain detailed report on all localization orders
What do we look for in a candidate?
Excellent written and verbal English. Fluency in an additional language is a plus
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a Foreign Language, Philology, Linguistics, Translation or similar
Excellent computer literacy - willing and able to master and work with various internal and external tools and technical file formats
Experience with web-based localization software and language service providers
Good project management and time management skills
High attention to detail and experience in proofreading
Advantages:

Experience working on both sides of localization (client and LSP)
Experience working with exotic languages. (We support languages like Japanese, Korean, Arabic, Hebrew, Farsi, Thai, etc.)
